I’m a software developer from the Philippines living in Estonia.</p>\n<p>In late 2017 I’ve been given the chance to move and work in Estonia. I never thought I’d move out of the Philippines for work. </p>\n<p><img src=\"/media/travel-estonia.jpg\" alt=\"Photo by ian dooley on Unsplash\"></p>\n<p>Anticipating a lot of challenges and difficulties in adjusting to a new place, away from family, I decided to focus on assimilating in my new environment. That meant not doing anything outside my job and immigration stuff.</p>\n<p>It’s been a year and a quarter since then and I can say I’m now well adjusted and can take on more stuff on my free time.
